The pictured hardware is the newer Bitkey introduced in 2026 with an OLED touchscreen and fingerprint sensor. Its enclosure differs from the original screenless model. This mount fits the second-generation Bitkey with the screen shown in the product photos. It does not fit the first-generation screenless Bitkey.

Screw

Select Screw when you want a mount with mechanical fastening points. This is the stronger choice for wood, an appropriate anchored surface, or an installation where the mount will hold against gravity for long periods. Choose fasteners and anchors that match the mounting surface.

Screwless

Select Screwless for a clean installation using 3M tape rather than drilled fasteners. Adhesive mounting performs best on a clean, smooth, non-porous surface. Clean the surface first, press the mount firmly into place, and allow the adhesive to bond before loading the device. Adhesive performance depends on the surface, preparation, temperature, and installation.

Do not place the mount where a release could cause the hardware device to fall onto a person, a hard floor, or another object. The screw-ready option is recommended when maximum mechanical retention matters.

Bitkey Mount color and customization options

The standard mount is black. The product form also matches the customization setup used on the CryptoCloaks MK5 ColdCard Mount:

• Custom text: add up to 8 characters to the top of the mount for an additional $3.
• Custom mount color: choose an available custom color for an additional $3.
• Installation style: choose Screw or Screwless before adding the mount to your cart.

Because CryptoCloaks prints each mount to order, small layer lines and normal surface variation are part of the 3D-printing process.

Installation guide

1. Confirm that your hardware is the second-generation Bitkey with the screen shown in this listing.
2. Choose a location that keeps the device accessible without exposing it to heat, moisture, direct sunlight, impact, or cable strain.
3. For the Screw version, select fasteners and anchors suitable for the surface. Check for wiring and plumbing before drilling.
4. For the Screwless version, clean and dry a smooth mounting surface before applying the 3M tape.
5. Install the empty mount first and verify that it is stable.
6. Insert the Bitkey gently. Never force a device that does not match the pictured second-generation form factor.
