This 3D-printed Bitcoin seed plate holder mounts to a wall, closet, cabinet, shelf, or another surface you choose. The closed cover is marked like an ordinary insect deterrent so the enclosure does not advertise what is inside. Open the holder, place your compatible metal backup in the base, and secure the cover.
The Tomb is built for people who already use a metal seed phrase backup and want a cleaner way to mount it out of sight. It does not store seed words electronically, connect to a network, or require an app.
Choose the correct Tomb size
Select the version that matches your metal backup. The current product selector includes three sizes:

Measure before ordering. Metal backup products change across models and generations. If your exact plate is not listed, compare its full length, width, and thickness with the selected Tomb before purchasing. Do not force a plate into the enclosure.

How to mount The Tomb
- Pick a genuinely private location. Avoid obvious places such as the underside of a desk or a spot visible from a doorway.
- Confirm the surface. Make sure the included screws are appropriate for the material and that drilling will not contact wiring, plumbing, or anything hidden behind it.
- Mount the base. Use the four included #8 screws. Longer or surface-specific hardware may be needed for your installation.
- Place the metal backup inside. Verify that it sits flat and does not bind against the holder.
- Install the cover. Close the enclosure so it resembles an ordinary insect deterrent rather than a Bitcoin seed phrase storage accessory.
Strong double-sided tape can be used on a suitable surface, but CryptoCloaks recommends screw mounting for a more secure installation. Hardware choice and installation remain the buyer’s responsibility.
Concealment without false security claims
The Tomb is a hidden seed phrase storage mount, not the durable backup itself. Its job is to reduce casual discovery and keep a compatible plate mounted in one place. It is not a lock, safe, vault, waterproof container, fireproof enclosure, or substitute for a properly made metal backup.

This is a convenient way to keep something hidden and secure. Quality design easy to open and easy to install.

This item is easy to install and store stuff away from prying eyes. It fits very well together. With what I’m storing, it should do it’s job for a long time without needing to check on it.
I can imagine a few improvements that could be done DIY or in a later revision: add a rubber ring or something at the join edge to help create a strong inside seal (help stop water dripping from getting inside). DIY: when attaching to the surface, put a little caulk or similar to seal the screw holes.

Honestly, I was skeptical of using this since there was not another layer of locked security.. but it is such a well quality build product that if you have it out of sight, it does exactly what you are looking for it to do.
The trouble someone has to go through to unscrew the first layer and get to the tag is something you most likely would never do.
Immediately ordered another one for my other tag.
I do wish they included 4 screws for the base layer, it is simple and cheap to include.
