CryptoCloaks / home mining
What will it add to your electric bill?
Enter your miner’s wall draw, your rate and your schedule. Compare two setups without guessing at Bitcoin payouts.
Your estimated run cost
Electricity only. This is not a miner’s total cost or a profit forecast.
Second setup, same schedule
Heat is a power-unit conversion, not free energy or a guarantee of useful room heating. Exhaust routing and room losses matter. This tool cannot determine whether your wiring or outlet is safe.
What the numbers mean
Energy: (wall watts × number of miners ÷ 1,000) × hours running. Multiply daily kWh by your chosen days and your added $/kWh rate for the estimated electricity cost. Fixed utility charges, tiered pricing, demand charges, taxes and cooling can change the bill.
Heat: while running, input watts × 3.412 ≈ BTU per hour. That is an energy conversion, not a room-heating rating. If you duct the exhaust outdoors, that heat does not stay inside. No heating credit is automatically deducted.
Need setup guidance? Read our home mining setup guide or mining heater guide. If you’re buying a small miner, check the Avalon Nano 3S or Avalon Q live product page for the exact offer and operating modes. Never assume an example wattage fits your mode.
The calculator runs in your browser and does not submit these fields. Heat conversion: U.S. Department of Energy, 3.412 BTU/h per W. No affiliate or outside tool is required.
