ASIC Miner Shroud Finder: Antminer, Whatsminer & Avalon Q

CryptoCloaks ASIC Airflow

Find the Right Shroud for Your Bitcoin Miner

Route the main ASIC exhaust into standard 6-inch or 8-inch duct. Start with your miner brand, count the exhaust fans, then measure the fan frame. The right fit takes less than a minute to identify.

Three checks

Choose by hardware, not a giant model-name list

Antminer model names change. The exhaust hardware is what determines fit. If your Antminer has two 120mm exhaust fans, the dual 120mm shroud fits. If it has two 140mm exhaust fans, the dual 140mm shroud fits.

Choose the brand

Antminer, Whatsminer, or Canaan Avalon Q.

Check the exhaust

Count the fan openings on the hot-air side and measure one fan frame edge to edge.

Match your duct

Choose a 6-inch or 8-inch outlet based on the shroud options and the duct system you are building.

This finder focuses on the main ASIC exhaust. PSU-capture shrouds are intentionally excluded. Measure the outside edge of the fan frame, not the blade opening, and check the product page before ordering.

Antminer exhaust shrouds

Start with fan size

Do not choose by S-series model name alone. CryptoCloaks dual-fan shrouds are matched to the physical fan configuration: every Antminer with two 120mm exhaust fans uses the dual 120mm design; every Antminer with two 140mm exhaust fans uses the dual 140mm design.

Duct choice

6-inch or 8-inch?

Match the shroud to the duct system you are actually building. Diameter is only part of the setup; duct length, bends, restrictions, and any inline fan also affect airflow.

Choose 6 inch

When your existing ventilation system is already 6 inch, the run is appropriate for that system, and your selected shroud is offered with a 6-inch outlet.

Choose 8 inch

When starting a new higher-volume duct run or when your selected miner shroud is designed around an 8-inch outlet. Larger diameter provides more cross-sectional duct area.

Install and operate responsibly

  • Power down and unplug the miner before installing or removing a shroud.
  • Verify fan count, fan-frame size, mounting method, and duct diameter before ordering.
  • Avoid crushed duct, tight bends, undersized inline fans, or other restrictions.
  • Monitor miner temperatures and fan behavior after changing the exhaust path.
  • The shroud routes exhaust; it does not replace the miner’s stock cooling system.
FAQ

ASIC miner shroud questions

Which CryptoCloaks shroud fits my Antminer?

Count the exhaust fans and measure one fan frame edge to edge. Two 120mm fans use the CryptoCloaks dual 120mm shroud, available with a 6-inch or 8-inch outlet. Two 140mm fans use the dual 140mm to 8-inch shroud.

Do I need to know the exact Antminer model?

The physical fan configuration is the deciding factor for these dual-fan Antminer shrouds. Confirm that the exhaust side has two 120mm or two 140mm fans, then choose the matching design.

Does this page include PSU-capture shrouds?

No. This finder is intentionally limited to shrouds that route the main ASIC exhaust. It does not include products designed to capture PSU heat.

Are the shrouds printed in PETG?

Yes. The shrouds shown in this finder are printed in PETG. Confirm current color and configuration options on each product page.

Should I choose 6-inch or 8-inch duct?

Choose the outlet that matches a properly planned ventilation system. Eight-inch duct has more cross-sectional area, while six-inch may match an existing compact setup. Run length, bends, restrictions, and inline-fan capacity matter too.

Still unsure?

Send us a photo of the exhaust side

Include the miner model, the number of exhaust fans, a fan-frame measurement, and the duct size you want to use. We will point you to the correct non-PSU shroud.
