The original Bitcoin Grenade — created by CryptoCloaks in 2020
The Bitcoin Grenade is the most iconic piece of Bitcoin merch ever made. Fully 3D printed, available in 25+ colors, and customizable to make it yours.
Each grenade features a removable top and hollow body — perfect for storing Opendime Bitcoin wallets, notes, or anything small and important. Carbon fiber infused tops on Gen 3 for premium feel and added rigidity.
Seen in the hands of Max Keiser, Soulja Boy, Paris Hilton, and Tucker Carlson. This isn’t just merch — it’s a conversation starter, a collector’s piece, and a statement.
Made in Colorado. Ships worldwide. Accepts Bitcoin.
The Story Behind the Bitcoin Grenade
The Bitcoin Grenade was born for the CryptoEcon 2020 Conference in Hanoi, Vietnam. Rick shipped 120 grenades to the conference — and that’s when things got interesting. Vietnamese customs officials pulled the package and weren’t sure what to make of a shipment of realistic-looking grenades. The situation escalated to the point where they brought in a Vietnam War veteran to physically inspect them and confirm they weren’t real. After a tense examination, the grenades were cleared. Most of them ended up going home with conference attendees — except the ones that didn’t, because COVID shut the whole thing down weeks later. The remaining grenades got distributed randomly, and the rest is history. What started as conference swag became the most recognizable piece of Bitcoin merchandise in the world.
A few top moments for the Bitcoin Grenade!

This WILL be a centerpiece in my 10x Gamma “art project”. (Something something windtunnel) Apologies in advance: I will have to drill a small hole right in between the Bitcoin logo and the lever, so my rotatey bits have a point to connect to the grenade.. It’s gonna look so cool! 11/10 -devjock
